About Haitian American Police Unity (HAPU)

Who are we

Founded in January 2025, Haitian American Police Unity (HAPU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building trust, unity, and collaboration between Haitian American law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. Today, HAPU proudly counts 39 active members across the United States, including state troopers, sheriffs, police officers, and other law enforcement professionals

Since its creation, HAPU has stood as a symbol of service, integrity, and cultural pride, bringing together officers who are passionate about making a positive impact both inside and outside their uniforms. What we do

HAPU connects with the community through church visits, mentorship programs, safety presentations, and cultural events such as the annual HAPU Gala.

Each event is an opportunity to educate, serve, and celebrate the bond between law enforcement and the Haitian Community.
